Cycling in West Chester

Having spent one weekend in Philadelphia cycling to the city, my second weekend was at my cousin's beautiful home in West Chester. I was of course accompanied by my faithful Brompton, and thankfully the weather on Saturday was just perfect - a comfortable 16 degrees Celcius. I set out towards Delaware along the scenic and historic route 100 that starts near West Chester. It used to be an unpaved buggy route that was paved between 1911 and 1926 (ref). It runs along the Brandywine creek and provides some beautiful views.

After the ride, we had a delicious lunch on my cousin's outdoor deck, and in the evening went to the Westtown school lake.
