The Stillness Race
We've learned to value speed and scale,
But patience is gone, attention rare,
As Davies wrote in days of yore,
"We have no time to stand and stare"
In haste, have we lost our way?
Our vision blurred, no details stay?
Is it time to start a slow revolt?
Shrug the "shoulds", we learned by rote?
In this world of constant motion,
Can the most radical notion
Be to slow our pace,
And win the stillness race?
